The Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA) has approved 11 new zoning maps.
This is part of UPDA’s third phase of its project to update the ownership documents for approved zoning maps.
The project is in line with UPDA’s efforts to plan and re-plan lands in the Kingdom to meet the requirements of the National Strategic Master Plan 2030, according to the procedures for applying the Law on Expropriation of Land for Public Benefit for the purposes of planning or re-planning, in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities.
The UPDA called on all real estate owners to take the necessary measures within 90 days to complete the procedures for updating their ownership documents located within the following zoning maps:
• Detailed zoning map of the Eastern Sanad region (southern part) – 745
• Partial detailed zoning map for Al Hamriyah (1) – Block 611
• Partial detailed zoning map of the Jeblat Hebshi area – Block 435
• Detailed zoning map of Shabatha and Al Farsiya – Blocks 636-952
• The approved detailed zoning map North West A’ali (the western part) – Block 742
• Detailed zoning map of North Tubli – Block 701-713
• Detailed zoning map of Dar Kulaib and Zallaq- Block 1048 – 1051 – 1052
• The detailed zoning map of the Jid Ali and Tubli- Block 709-721
• Partial detailed zoning map of Jidhafs and Al-Musalla areas, Block 411-425
• Partial detailed zoning map of East Sanad – Block 743
• Detailed zoning map of the Northeast region of Sanad – Block 743 – 745 -625
The UPDA called on real estate owners in the aforementioned zoning maps who wish to update their ownership documents to submit the required documents, namely: a copy of the ownership document, a copy of the survey certificate if the ownership document is old and a copy of the identity card.
If the applicant holds a power of attorney, they shall provide an approved power of attorney bearing the signature of the property owner, and then fill in the application form.
The necessary procedures may be completed either by visiting the UPDA’s customer service centre located in the Survey and Land Registration Bureau building in Sanabis, or by submitting an inquiry request about a land situation via the its e-mail ask@upda.gov.bh or through the its platform (www.upda.gov.bh).
The UPDA said that after the end of the period specified for updating the ownership documents, it will address the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture to complete the procedures for applying the Law on Expropriation of Land for Public Benefit for the purposes of planning or re-planning.
