UN Special Coordinator Calls for Immediate Ceasefire and Protection of Civilians in Nabatiyeh


NABATIYEH: UN Special Coordinator, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, emphasized the urgent need to protect civilians and ensure their safety amid escalating conflicts. In a focused address on Wednesday, she highlighted the critical violations of international humanitarian law occurring during the recent attacks on Nabatiyeh, calling them “absolutely unacceptable.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Hennis-Plasschaert’s statement stressed the importance of safeguarding civilians and civilian infrastructure under all circumstances. She articulated a strong plea for all parties involved in the conflict to initiate an immediate ceasefire and pivot towards diplomatic engagements as a pathway to resolve the ongoing aggression.
