Deputy House Speaker, Elias Bou Saab, on Wednesday met with Cypriot Ambassador to Lebanon, Maria Hadjitheodosiou, who expressed gratitude for the cooperation that resolved a recent misunderstanding between Lebanon and Cyprus, effectively ending the crisis.
The ambassador clarified that Cyprus does not permit its territory to be used for aggression against any country, especially Lebanon.
Bou Saab thanked the ambassador for clarifying Cyprus’s stance and emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the strong relations between the two countries, noting that the current tourism season is proceeding smoothly, with the Cypriot embassy in Lebanon issuing hundreds of visas weekly.
Both parties agreed to continue working towards further developing the bilateral relations.
