AL-QASSAM: WE BLEW UP A MINEFIELD IN AN ISRAELI FOOT FORCE OF 8 SOLDIERS


The “Al-Qassam Brigades”, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced today the detonation of a minefield in an Israeli foot force consisting of 8 soldiers, and all of them were killed.

The Brigades said in a brief statement reported by ‘Russia Today’: ‘The Al-Qassam Mujahideen were able to detonate a minefield in a Zionist foot force consisting of 8 soldiers, and then those who remained alive were finished off from a distance of zero northeast of the city of Khan Yunis.’

Earlier, the “Al-Qassam Brigades” said that it targeted the Israeli army east of the “Magen” settlement with a missile barrage, and bombed a gathering of Israeli soldiers east of Khan Yunis with mortar shells, and another gathering east of Deir al-Balah with heavy-caliber mortar shells.

The Brigades also revealed the detonation of 3 explosive devices by a force of 60 Israeli soldiers, at their concentration point east of the Juhr al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip.

NINE KILLED IN AN ATTACK ON A BUS IN NORTHERN PAKISTAN


Nine people were killed, including two off-duty army personnel, when gunmen opened fire on a bus in northern Pakistan, causing it to collide with a truck and burst into flames, officials said Sunday.

The bus was attacked by at least five gunmen from both sides at around 18:30 local time (13:30 GMT) on Saturday.

“After the shooting, the bus went out of control and collided with an oncoming truck. The two vehicles then caught fire. The two drivers are among the victims,” said a senior government official in the region, Arif Ahmed Khan.

He confirmed that eight people were killed at the scene, while one person died later in the hospital as a result of his injury.

Among the dead were two soldiers who were on leave, while 25 people were injured.

AUSTIN DOES NOT RULE OUT ISRAEL’S STRATEGIC DEFEAT IN THE GAZA STRIP


US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said, during a speech he delivered at the Reagan National Defense Forum held in California, that ‘Israel may face a strategic defeat in the Gaza Strip.”

He added: “In this type of combat, the civilian population is the center of gravity. If you push them into the arms of the enemy, you will exchange tactical victory for strategic defeat.”

He continued: “The Israeli army cannot win the battle against Hamas unless the Israeli forces carry out the main mission of preventing the killing of civilians and working to protect them in the Gaza Strip,” as reported by “Novosti” news agency.

HEAVY ISRAELI SHELLING OF SOUTHERN VILLAGES


National News Agency correspondent in Tyre reported that the outskirts of the following villages in the south were subjected to heavy Israeli artillery shelling this afternoon: Al-Labouneh, Marwahin Shihin, Al-Jebeen, Umm Al-Tout, and Al-Bustan.

BRITISH MINISTRY OF DEFENSE: WE WILL CONDUCT RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS OVER THE GAZA STRIP TO HELP LOCATE THE HOSTAGES


The British Ministry of Defense announced that ‘the British army will conduct reconnaissance flights over the Gaza Strip to help locate hostages held by Hamas,’ according to ‘Russia Today.’

‘In support of ongoing hostage rescue activities, the British Ministry of Defense will conduct reconnaissance flights over the eastern Mediterranean, including working in the airspace over Israel and Gaza,’ the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement published on Saturday evening.

The ministry confirmed that “the surveillance aircraft will be unarmed, and will not have any combat role, and the mission will only be to determine the location of the hostages.”

According to the statement, “information related to the rescue of the hostages will be passed only to the concerned authorities responsible for the rescue of the hostages.”

London did not announce the number of Britons who were taken hostage.
